One Month Down

Hi, friends!

We’re one month into 2017. Crazy, huh? For me, January has been an emotional rollercoaster.

Lots of things happened this month…
-My grandpa passed away
-Spent Martin Luther King, Jr. Day fishing and going around the island with my family
-My godson celebrated his 5th birthday
-My dad, uncle, and aunties went to visit the Philippines
-Inauguration Day
-Finished reading Buffering: Unshared Tales of a Life Fully Loaded by Hannah Hart
-Learned how to cook Thai yellow curry
-A content creator that I look up to acknowledged my work
-Cracked open my sketchbook and created a new piece (after months of not starting anything new)
-Gifted some of my old art supplies to someone whose work I enjoy seeing

January definitely didn’t go the way I imagined, but I got through it and tried to look at every situation as a new learning experience.

If you had a crappy January, it’s okay. What happened and how you felt this past month doesn’t determine the rest of your year.

Keep moving forward.
